Lakeshore West GO service to be modified for track upgrades
CHCH News reports that Metrolinx will temporarily modify Lakeshore West GO service for major track upgrades. Trains will operate between Niagara Falls GO and Aldershot GO, and between Oakville GO and Union Station.
There will be no GO train service between Aldershot GO and Oakville GO, and no GO Transit service at Appleby GO or Bronte GO. GO buses will connect West Harbour, Aldershot and Oakville GO with train service.
Passengers travelling toward Hamilton should allow 15 to 25 minutes to transfer from replacement buses to route 18 buses at Aldershot GO. Route 18E will also run from Aldershot GO, while route 18N and route 18P will provide alternate service from Oakville GO. Some late-evening trains from Union Station will end at Oakville GO, and schedules will be adjusted by up to five minutes after the service changes.
