Oakville’s Isaiah George injured in Hammers home opener
Oakville News reports that Isaiah George was injured during the Hamilton Hammers’ inaugural home game on Oct. 9, when the team faced the Toronto Marlies in an AHL matchup.
George was involved in a second-period tussle and left the ice afterward. He did not return for the rest of the game.
Hammers coach Jay McKee said George will be out for “a bit” and that he does not expect the Oakville defenceman back in the lineup in the near future. The article does not provide a diagnosis or return date.

ETDatacenters reported on Oct. 11, 2026, that BUZZ HPC has proposed a C$3.5-billion artificial-intelligence campus in Oakville with planned capacity of 320 megawatts.
The company says it would privately fund the required electrical-grid and fibre infrastructure. The proposal includes closed-loop liquid cooling, and BUZZ HPC is seeking clear, enforceable data-centre standards.
Oakville has a one-year data-centre moratorium running until August 2027, which the report says could affect the project’s timeline.
