HCDSB announces fall Kindergarten open houses, including Oakville event

The Halton Catholic District School Board says it will host four Kindergarten open houses for families whose children will start school in September 2027. The sessions will cover the board’s play- and inquiry-based program, Before and After School programs and what families can expect when their child begins school.

Oakville’s open house is scheduled for October 22, 2026, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrew C.E.S., 145 Millbank Drive. The other sessions are planned for Burlington on October 15, Halton Hills on November 5 and Milton on November 12.

The board says its elementary schools offer a full-day, two-year Kindergarten program. Children entering Year 1 must be four years old on or before December 31, 2027, while Year 2 students must be five by that date. Families are encouraged to complete an online form to attend; the form is for planning purposes only.
