Oakville page adds Half Marathon closure notice, removes two others

The Town of Oakville’s service-disruptions page now lists road closures for the Oakville Half Marathon on Sunday, October 4, 2026, and says recreational skating at Trafalgar Park Community Centre is cancelled from September 25 to 27, 2026.

The page no longer lists road closures for the Terry Fox Run on September 20, 2026, or the Belyea Street road closure extension to September 30, 2026.

Oakville recorded 50 reported crime incidents from Sept. 9 to 15

OakvilleNews.org reports that Halton Regional Police responded to 50 crime incidents in Oakville between Sept. 9 and 15, 2026. The article says crime numbers fell by 7.41 per cent.

Sept. 9 had the highest number of reported incidents, with 11. Old Oakville had the most reported crimes among the areas listed, with 10. Police also recorded four break-and-enter house incidents and five thefts from vehicles.

The report says police responded to 11 motor-vehicle hit-and-runs in the past seven days, while 73 such incidents occurred across Oakville over the past 30 days.
