Foundation honours Marc Pinizzotto with reform advocacy and kids programs

CHCH News reports that Linda Pinizzotto has launched the Marc Pinizzotto Foundation in memory of her son, Toronto police officer and Oakville father Marc Pinizzotto, who was killed in the line of duty on June 11.

The foundation will advocate for bail reform and support sports, music and arts programming for children through an initiative called G.O.A.T. Its first fundraising target is $100,000, which will go to non-profit organizations providing children with access to sports until the foundation’s own program is operating.

Marc’s son dropped the first puck at an Oakville Blades game, where the Junior A team retired Marc’s former number. The foundation’s website is accepting donations, and Linda said the family will mark what would have been Marc’s 44th birthday on Sept. 24 with a gelato ice cream cake.
