Rebuilt Crawford Lake boardwalk reopens in Milton
Oakville News reported that Conservation Halton has reopened the Crawford Lake boardwalk following a major reconstruction project. Officials marked the reopening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 4.
The new boardwalk circles the lake and was built to improve accessibility. The previous structure, opened in 1965, was nearing the end of its lifespan and did not meet current accessibility standards.
The project received $912,000 from the federal government, $759,924 from Ontario and approximately $1 million from Halton Region. New signage developed with Conservation Halton’s Indigenous Partners Council is expected to be installed later this month.
